Secondary School
The secondary school includes children from ages 14-18 years and is divided into two sets, one covering Grade IX and X, the other covering XI and XII
The secondary level focuses on the life aspirations of a student, critical thinking and allow students to be flexible with the subjects they want. SVVS enable our students to be well prepared for any college course that they wish to join. At the secondary level, the academic teaching is supplemented with rigorous follow up of all the lessons. The year plan charts out the entire syllabus for the year. Meticulous care is taken to space out the syllabus throughout the year and the lessons are taught with precision as per the guidelines from CBSE.
SVVS at the Secondary School aims to
- Foundation for Science and Mathematics
- Mental ability Skills for preparing NTSE
- The school promotes co-curricular activities for the holistic development of the student. These activities such as Work Education, Art Education and Health & Physical Education will be graded on a 5-point scale (A to E) and will have no descriptive indicators. No upscaling of grades will be done.
- This system of guiding the child to perform well in Board Examinations.
- Lab classes to improve practical and hands-on training.
- Field trips and Industrial visits to gain practical knowledge.
- Career guidance for right choices of subjects in Grade XI
